Facilities

We wish your stay to be as comfortable, enjoyable and as stress free as possible.

  • Welcome Pack

We provide a small welcome pack of fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar, butter like spread, home made bread, jam and welsh cakes and locally sourced free range eggs. 

  • Shopping

Shopping can be arranged, for your arrival or during your stay. We will also receive an arranged delivery from major supermarkets on arrival day for you.

  • Child’s Cot 

There is a child’s cot/bed with safety mattress which can be installed upon request, bring your own linen please.

  • Specialist equipment

We are able to offer quite a wide range of equipment such as a mobile hoist, commode on wheels, static commode, bed sides, folding wheelchairs, zimmer and other aids (list available) which can be installed or removed and stored out of sight as is necessary.

If you will require the hoist, you must bring your own slings.

FAQ’s

  • Changeovers

Our change over day for weekly stays is a Saturday. We aim to welcome you around 4pm. We expect to gain access to start cleaning at 10am but understand if you need a little extra time to depart. Please feel free to discuss this.

  • Prices

  • Canine Companions

We are happy to accept up to two well-behaved canine companions and make a small charge of £10 per dog for nose on glass cleaning!

However, we are prepared to discuss other pet issues but reserve the right of discretion.

  • Availability

We prefer to discuss your needs personally to ensure we are exactly what you need.

We do not include a calendar on our website because we encourage you to contact us directly. We do provide a booking form if you are currently unable to get in contact but we will contact you back in your preferred method of contact.

  • Doctor’s Surgery

Please be advised that while we have a G.P. surgery 2.5 miles away, the nearest chemist is 11 miles away.

  • Care

Although not currently able to assist with personal care, please ask for local information.

  • Local Specialist transport

DORE COMMUNITY TRANSPORT – has wheelchair adapted vehicles and can be pre-booked to provide transport within the local area.
